Garden statue underpainting

Quick sketch of garden statue.

Tree at green lake (Seattle)

I think this painting doesn’t work well because it’s somewhere between real and abstract.  I’m finding that I get lazy on the details but thinking too much to let go.

Blonde underpainting

When painting the Neptune painting, I messed up the blonde hair of one of the women so I’ve started this one as a study.

This one was fun as no one really knows what he looks like.

Neptune in progress…

Found that the chair was easy as just did a glaze.  Will have to put another layer on the woman as this one needs more contrast.
